What we collect

We collect the following information when you use Astral:

• Your email address (when you sign in or join a waitlist)
• Your date, time, and place of birth (when you create a birth chart profile)
• Birth profiles you create for other people (e.g. family members), including their date, time, and place of birth

How we use it

Your birth data is used solely to compute natal charts and generate personal astrology readings (daily, weekly, and yearly). Your email is used to sign you in and, if you opted in, to notify you when a feature launches.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond providing the Astral service.

Third-party AI processing

Your natal chart data and the context needed to produce a reading are processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate your reading. These providers are contractually prohibited from storing your data or using it to train their models.

Local storage

When you enter birth details before signing in, Astral temporarily saves them in your browser's localStorage under the keys astral.birth and astral.chart. This data never leaves your device until you choose to save it to your account.

To remove this local data, use "Clear this device's birth data" at the bottom of your chart page — no account needed.

Account deletion

Deleting your account permanently and irreversibly removes all data associated with it — including your email address, all birth profiles, and all generated readings. This cannot be undone. To delete your account, go to Account settingsand click "Delete my account and all data".
